Vans Recruits Penn for Tennis-Inspired Capsule

Featuring three court-ready silhouettes.

Following up its recent “Bandana” pack, Vans has now presented an unexpected collaboration with tennis ball manufacturer Penn. The new capsule is heavily influenced by Penn’s 122 year heritage, with court-ready footwear inspired by country club aesthetics.

Featuring three Vans silhouettes — the Authentic, Slip On and ’90s skate-inspired Lowland CC — the collection incorporates tennis illustrations and Vans’ archive “Flying V” logo. Arguably the stand-out, however, is the Slip-On. The signature Vans silhouette has been dressed in a bold yellow and orange colorway reminiscent of a tennis ball, while the upper also features Vans checkerboard pattern.

As well as a range of tennis-inspired footwear, the collaborative collection also includes apparel featuring vintage-inspired graphics, a checkerboard bucket hat and a matching short and half-zip jacket set.

Take a look through the collection in the gallery above. The Penn x Vans capsule is available now from the Vans web store and select stockists.

In other footwear news, Vans recently released its seasonal “Anaheim Pack” of vintage-inspired designs.
